She's been through hell and back with the lengthy high dose Pen G treatment to cure her VD, and after she had recovered sufficiently following the completion of her treatment, I decided it was time to breed her again.
I put her in with Nick first - and she promptly tried to take his face off, poor guy.
Then I put her in the exercise pen with Hunk (Hank's son). This time she didn't attack, but she made it abundantly clear that she was NOT going to allow him to breed her. Several times, she let him get really close to her, then she took off at Mach speeds around the edge of the pen, leaping over poor Hunk, making sure her leap was just low enough to knock her legs into his head every single time.
Mostly annoyed and a little amused with her attitude, I took her out of the exercise pen and immediately put her in with Hank. Just like magic, she was instantly all hussy; stretched out, rear lifted and waiting. Hank wasted no time breeding her (which she, in classic Sarah fashion, only allowed once).
After waiting (I admit, impatiently), the little ones are finally here. 5 beautiful dark babies. I am hopeful that all will go well, and these kits will grow healthy and strong, and accompany me to be shown at the West Coast Classic in May 2014 :)
